The objective of the Bioavailability 2010 conference is to discuss results of recent scientific research related to bioavailability of micronutrients. The format of the conference will be six half-day plenary sessions on bioavailability of minerals and trace elements, minor plant constituents and vitamins and pro-vitamins, methodology and setting of recommendations. There will also be poster sessions on these topics.

Conference themes will include:

• The role of bioavailability when setting recommendations
• Genetic/ individual influences on bioavailability
• Biofortification
• Bioavailability – applied studies and advances in methodology

Bioavailability 2010 will be held September 26th-30th, 2010 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds located on the Monterey Peninsula in the city of Pacific Grove, California, USA.
